How do I download a TikTok video without watermark?

Why TikTok watermarks exist and how to get clean videos
TikTok adds the moving watermark (the username ticker that bounces around) when you save through the app. It exists so any video that gets reshared on other platforms can be traced back to TikTok. Marketing tool, not a security feature. The watermark is burned into the video at save time. To get a clean version, you need to grab the original file from TikTok's servers before the watermark gets added. How TikTok serves videos and how we fetch them
TikTok stores videos as MP4 files on their CDN. When you view a video in the app, your phone fetches the video directly. When you save through the app, TikTok's server adds the watermark overlay and sends you a new watermarked version. Our tool skips the watermark step entirely — it fetches the original file from TikTok's CDN before the watermark processing happens. Same file the original creator uploaded, no recompression, no overlay. The output is a standard MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — plays in any video player, any editor, any social media app. For 1080p TikToks, the output is the original 1080p. No quality loss.
Privacy and how we handle your data
We don't log the TikTok URLs you submit. We don't store the videos. We don't require account creation. When you paste a TikTok URL, we fetch the original video file and stream it back to your browser. The video never lands on our server long-term — it's a one-shot fetch and forward. If you're downloading your own TikToks, your account is unaffected. TikTok can't detect downloads through public share URLs.
Does this work on private TikTok accounts?
No — only public videos work. TikTok blocks third-party access to private accounts (which require login). If you want to save a private TikTok, make the account public temporarily or use TikTok's official save feature.
What about the music in TikTok videos?
Important caveat: TikTok licenses music from labels for in-app playback. Downloads may have silent audio because the license doesn't extend to file downloads. This affects most Reels with popular commercial music. Reels with original audio (voice, sound effects, your own music) download with sound intact.
Can I download TikTok slideshows (image posts)?
Yes — slideshows save as MP4 with each image displayed for its full duration. The background music (if any) downloads the same way as videos (may be silent if commercial-licensed).
