Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't this work on every tweet?
X / Twitter actively blocks third-party scraping. Some tweets work, others don't. There's no consistent pattern — it depends on X's current anti-bot measures.
What about GIFs?
Twitter GIFs work like videos. Paste the tweet URL and we'll extract the GIF or MP4 (whichever is available).
Can I download from protected accounts?
No. Protected accounts are private. We can't access their content without authentication.
Does this work for Twitter Spaces recordings?
Not currently. Spaces recordings require special access that's harder to scrape.
Is it legal?
Personal use downloading is generally tolerated. Reposting without the creator's permission is copyright infringement. Always credit the original creator if you share.
